The Stack: Hydr8 Ceramic Coating & 1 Year Graphene Spray Coating

You only need one layer of DIY Detail Ceramic Coating. But so many of you have been asking: Can I apply two ceramic coatings? If so, what do I need to know???

Stacking coatings isn’t the same as multiple coats of the same product. With our coatings, you can stack the 1 year Graphene Ceramic Spray Coating over our Hydr8 Ceramic Coatings. Why would you want to do that? It gives you the benefits of the Hydr8 coating, plus the characteristics of the 1 year Graphene Spray Coating. This means you’re getting extreme slickness, a warm waxy look AND water spot resistance. Plus enhanced self cleaning ability.

The T1 year Graphene Ceramic Spray Coating is now PFAS free, so no forever chemicals. We have a new instant bond technology, taking the guesswork out of leveling. And you can wash with DIY Detail Incredible Suds or DIY Detail Rinse Less Wash after 3 days of application. Vehicle can be driven 1 hour after application either rain or shine.

Plus we've added Tetraethyl Orthosilicate (TEOS). This unique formulation helps reduce clogging and provides exceptional fracturing resistance, making this coating reliable and user-friendly for both enthusiasts and professionals.

Here’s what you need to know about application.

There’s a window of opportunity to stack coatings, 1-8 hours. Before the 1 hour mark, the 1-Year will damage the other coating you’ve already applied. In the window of opportunity (1-8 hours after applying that first layer of coating), the two mix together to become another coating — enhancing the properties of both. What happens after 8 hours? Instead of combining the coating, you’re simply adding the 1 year Graphene Ceramic Spray Coating OVER the other.
