FAQ

How is this different from a traditional paste wax?

Traditional carnauba paste waxes are hard, difficult to apply, and unforgiving if left too long. Show Winning Wax gives you the same warm, deep carnauba glow but with a modern easy-spread formula that goes on thin, hazes cleanly, and buffs off effortlessly without crumbling or streaking.

Does it contain any abrasives or polishing agents?

No. Show Winning Wax is completely non-abrasive. It fills in very minor surface imperfections to add gloss and smoothness, but it is not a polish and will not remove scratches, swirl marks, or oxidation. For defect correction, polish the paint first and then apply the wax as your final protection step.

Can I apply it by machine?

Yes. Use the DIY Detail Red Jeweling Pad on a dual action polisher at a low, finishing speed. Machine application gives you a thinner, more even layer and can actually improve the final result compared to hand application on larger panels.

How long do I let it haze before buffing?

Wait until the product turns to a thin white haze across the panel, which typically takes a few minutes depending on temperature and humidity. Do not let it cure too long in direct sunlight or hot conditions as it becomes harder to remove. Work panel by panel in the shade when possible.

What microfiber towel should I use to buff it off?

Use a plush, high-pile microfiber towel. A softer, thicker towel picks up the haze without scratching the paint underneath and leaves a cleaner, glossier finish than a flat or all-purpose towel.

How long does the protection last?

Carnauba wax is a natural product that provides warm, rich gloss but shorter durability compared to synthetic sealants or ceramic coatings. Expect two to eight weeks of protection depending on weather exposure, washing frequency, and how often the vehicle is driven. Reapplication is fast and easy.

Can I apply it over a ceramic coating or sealant?

Yes. Show Winning Wax can be layered on top of a cured ceramic coating or sealant as a topper to add extra warmth and carnauba glow. It will not compromise the coating underneath and will actually enhance the visual depth of the finish.

Is it safe on trim, plastic, and rubber?

Keep it on painted surfaces. Like most waxes, Show Winning Wax can leave a white residue on unpainted black trim, rubber seals, and matte plastics that is difficult to remove. If you get product on these areas, wipe them off immediately before they haze.

How often should I reapply?

A good rule of thumb is to reapply whenever water no longer beads tightly on the paint surface. For most drivers that is every four to six weeks. The easy application makes reapplication a quick part of any regular wash routine.
